Web portfolio

Allthough I never trained to be a webdesigner, webmaster or … techie, this has been a big part of my professional career. Probably coming from early developed computer skills :-) If you want to see the old sites as I had orginally set them up go to WayBack machine at The Internet Archive.

1- Websites I’m currently webmastering

  • Akkaren sportsdykkerklubb
[2008-]Site of UVR club I used to train with before I moved north. Moving from static pages to Wordpress managed.
  • Cluster Munitions Process
[2007-] Website hosted and re-designed in December 2007 through Retina.as on behalf of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. (yet to go live in new design by early January 2007)
  • Riddu Riđđu
[2007-]Indigenous culture festival in …hometown. I’m trying to help fix and trix using the existing publishing solution.
  • Sommerstryk
[2007-] Website I set up for my sisters yearly summer project. A children string players course in Bergen, Norway. Norwegian only.
  • Uvita Information Center
[2007-] A website hosted for my friend Sonia, promoting her business in Costa Rica. I’ve been there myself and can really recommend a visit. The site was not designed by me but I’ve helped with SEO and others.

2- Websites I have been webmastering

  • Actualidad Colombiana
[1998-2002] Actualidad Colombiana is a bi-weekly bulletin about the human rights situation in Colombia presented by local NGOs. My version of this and some archived material is found at www.actcol.ibiblio.org
  • International Campaign to Ban Landmines
[1998-2005] I setup the site with another campaigner in May 1998. Later on we expanded and included a lot of tools, plus moved into the heavy eZ Publish CMS. I left this full-time project in 2005 to study and move on :-)
  • International Cultural Youth Exchange
[1996-1998] I went to Colombia with this exchange organisation and volunteered with them after. I setup the Norwegian website and later the international one, then handed on to others.
  • Norwegian People’s Aid
[1997-1998] Among others I developed a special section on landmines and maintained the conference website for the 1997 conference on landmines, leading up to the 1997 Mine Ban Treaty (and my later engagement with the ICBL).
  • Oslo Maxi Taxi
[2000] This was my first commercial webproject. A private taxi company for ordering minibuses for companies and other needing to transport more than the usual 4 persons. It has now been completely redesigned and is managed by another company.
  • Oslo Studentenes Idrettsklubb
[1997-2000] The website for the Oslo Students sports club. I started out doing the page for the Capoeira sub-page/group, then as the webmaster for the main site stepped down I took over for a couple of years. Current design as of 2008 is mine.

  • Dagbladet.no /Ordskiftet
